I found myself sick for months, usual outdoor adventures with my kiddos were put on hold, and my plein air painting avoided at all cost. ... I found myself hiding indoors, painting all I could from the windows of our midway home. as i prayed and fasted for others also affected by the fires, most evenings, an exquisite pink sky or dramatic sunset would blanket our little valley. ... My walls are now filled with these constant reminders and i couldn’t be more grateful.
