tiny hairs along the stem and petals give the appearance of a lovely glow. it is the first flower to bloom and may be found peaking through the snow in early spring. it is the provincial flower of Manitoba.
JoAnn Marie studied art at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Canada, where she developed an intense desire to bring beauty and goodness to the world through art. she adores color, and uses it as a way to express emotion, and see the world in a unique way. she lovingly portrays the beauty of the human spirit and the natural world around her through the use of light and value. she lives on the Canadian prairie in Alberta with her husband and four children.
