my husband carl's grandfather in-law lived in park city, utah with his mining family. i've often wondered what the foothills, working farms and the land looked like back then.
the mcpolin barn is a park city treasure reminding us of times past, the heritage of the valley, a simpler time, a beautiful and abundant time. in this series, i've left out the highway and much of the modern buildings hoping to get a peek of what the mcpolin homestead could have felt like for ancestors and residents of our past.
** original oil paintings are created in my midway utah studio. each piece is created with so much oil paint, using her brushes and palette knives. candy colored oil paint covered in varnish to protect each piece.
