it’s just too easy to look at others and wonder how they “do it all”. as we look more closely, we see that while it looks like a “balancing act”, it’s really a moment of reprieve thanks to the many hands in our lives. some of these helping hands can’t be seen with the human eye...often, they are loved ones who’ve passed on, yet find the time to support and lift us -- all made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

true peace is not a balance of opposing forces, and it is not ‘a lovely façade’ simply covering conflicts and divisions. rather, peace calls for daily commitment -- it's homemade -- starting from God's gift, from the grace which he has given us in Jesus Christ. - pope francis

are we willing to put in that homemade effort that faith truly requires? will we plant the seeds and watch to see if they are “good”? will we have the courage to pluck them out if they aren’t? and will we walk on water...or balance on pointe, on a board, on a plastic beach ball and lily pad? who are the helpers in your life that make the impossible turn to success? and are there loved ones who've passed on who are mindfully watching over you, sending you strength and the support to face those hard moments? similarly, who has Christ sent to lift you this week? what are you doing with that extra strength?
