i can hear the aspens singing their tune when the full moon rises during sunset. october this year has two moons, one that begins the month and one to end. i wanted to paint a small series celebrating this celestial event.
as a self-proclaimed “landscape interpreter”, elissa invites you to take another look at landscapes through her lens of distilled emotional connection to location. by presenting a minimal, sometimes dream-like, rendering of the natural world her watercolor landscapes straddle the line between memory and specific place. elissa currently translates the landscapes in her head and heart in Northern California.
