summer hiking in the uinta mountains always brings a chance of thunderstorms, but on this particular hike, we ended up with thundersnow. this painting evokes the awe of thunderheads looming above.
erin is a watercolor artist based in salt lake city, utah. she is continually inspired by her outdoor adventures, from the mountains of utah and wyoming to the forests of maine and the pacific northwest. her work merges the realistic with the abstract, using bold clouds and detailed landscapes to bring forward the sense of wonder and joy inspired by the natural world.
