buttercups are common in moist areas on the prairies and mountains, although they were originally introduced from Europe. these small flowers are heliotropic, which means they follow the sun.
joann marie studied art at emily carr university in vancouver, canada, where she developed an intense desire to bring beauty and goodness to the world through art. she adores color, and uses it as a way to express emotion, and see the world in a unique way. she lovingly portrays the beauty of the human spirit and the natural world around her through the use of light and value. she lives on the canadian prairie in alberta with her husband and four children.
