it was a dream for a long time to go back to france with my family {i had spent a summer abroad while in college}. trying to explain what it would be like and why i thought they would enjoy it...wasn't as easy as i thought...especially for my tweens and teen. once we were there though, it was so fun to see what they enjoyed most. one thing they could all agree on were the tiny pastry shops we'd come across. each had its own specialties and they loved to pick out one to try. i painted this tarte while we were there and named it after a favorite song by the group paris combo.
