despite this crazy and difficult year my family and i took a driving trip across the US (wearing masks, of course). one of our more memorable stops was in New Orleans. the French Quarter lives up to its reputation of beautiful architecture. the brilliant colors made even a quiet scene feel full of jazz. there weren’t many people, but seeing this city made me remember that this world is an amazing place to be.
sage gallagher enjoys painting any subject: the figure because of her interest in and love for humanity; landscapes that tie her to nature and allow her to experience changes in light and terrain. she studied humanities as well as painting, photography, and dance at BYU before raising her five children. she lives in the red desert of Southern Utah with her husband and four unmarried children where she is inspired to continue exploring all forms of creation. sage’s work has been shown in boston, new york, the springville museum of art, the bountiful davis art center, the sears gallery, and a traveling show sponsored by the utah arts council. her art has won awards and been featured online and in calendars at segullah and big ocean women.
