everywhere i turn i feel like satan is trying yet again to make me “choose a side” or divide from my neighbors, friends & human family as a whole. i’m honestly not sure what to believe on the news these days, but one thing i do know: when there is a military conflict we can be assured that people will need help with the basics of food, housing & clean water. “the water for life charity” has been bringing clean water throughout the world and seeing amazing changes to villages and families. last month they sent water filtration systems to ukraine and are working to raise 75k to bring 2.25 million gallons of clean water to the people of ukraine. how can you participate?!

  1. if you’re local, please come to the gala monday june 27th at the summerhouse farms in heber city, utah. to attend you’ll need to purchase a ticket at waterforlifecharity.org

original inspiration & statement for this piece created november of 2021: in my travels abroad i have spent time learning from masters and have created pieces once home that are a nod to their brillance & light. i've been wanting to paint van gogh sunflowers for a while now...sunflowers are favorites of my dear friends anna & ramona. these ladies are such a light to all who get to know them. full of wisdom beyond their years and love that pours into each soul who allows them. sweet & brave ramona is a warrior & heroine of mine -- she faced challenges in this life that would cause nearly all of us to shrink in despair -- but instead, she lifted & gave strength to her family and friends...she danced & sang her unique song and made everyone grateful to have known her. she started a new adventure last year and i think of her all the time. i know i'm not the only one. may these flowers bring the love and light of ramona & her incredible mom anna, to your heart as you face your own life challenges each day. xo
