growing up in southern california, i felt pretty sheltered when it came to seasons...especially winter lol. the first few years we lived in the heber valley i was cold all of the time. despite this, there were some magical realizations...new ways to look at snow. especially when the sunrise or sunset rays burst through the bare branches, sparkling like diamond bling. all the pastels, all the candy colors, making winter one of the most colorful displays of light.
