candy colored studio episode #80 - beth allen: simplification, commitment and the gift of failure

meet my beautiful artist friend beth ann allen: painter of landscapes, portraits, abstracts, & still life. right now she’s obsessed with patterns...specifically vintage patterns found in wallpaper. beth and her baker/chef husband jared, have 8 lovely children ages 16 to almost 1. they live in kansas, just outside of kansas city. even though she received an art degree from arizona state university, she shares how comfort in her style and series came after several years of hard work and persistence. listen to her unique art journey and her advice for artists of different paths. she also shares advice on releasing series online and her work process. obviously beth gives up many things to be a full-time mother artist. simplification, commitment and the gift of failure are all topics she generously speaks about. enjoy this treasure of an episode, and check out her mothering series launching april 13th!
