during “stay at home” i’ve noticed that hard things in my life and the lives of those i love and care about have amplified and caused quite a bit of havoc. sometimes it’s nice to know that you’re not the only one facing anxiety, depression, or panic attacks. if you’ve been facing any of these, or have family members or friends that have experienced this great discomfort, here are some things that have helped me personally... 

  1. boundaries
  2. saying no more than yes
  3. minimizing my responsibilities 
  4. embracing the imperfect and more importantly, the process of becoming
  5. sleep and rest 
  6. walking/biking/dancing/moving
  7. food - being intune with our body’s needs
  8. meditation
  9. alone time 
  10. sunshine

SWEETlady amy ashworth and i met thanks to two of her sisters-in-law: desiree ashworth & emily adamson and the beehive bazaar (a local etsy-like market). in so many ways, her support of my art and creative pursuit have bolstered me when i needed it most. she is not only an amazing interior designer, but she has gifts in simplifying spaces and life. amy is an amazing & loyal friend and a fierce protector of her family and friends. she lives a brave, authentic life and is not afraid to be herself...not afraid of what others think of her...and because of her gumption, brings so much love and light to all who know and meet her.
