the mother tree the tree at the center poetry collection kathryn knight sonntag heavenly mother divine feminine

at a time of immense uncertainty, it’s comforting to have a few constants in our lives. for me, it’s family, friendship, art & most importantly: my relationship with deity. finding & creating new ways to connect with our heavenly parents in these times are invaluable. two years ago, kathryn knight sonntag invited us to consider our connections and relationship to heavenly mother through her poetry collection, the tree at the center. listen to episodes 87 & 88 for my interview with kathryn in 2020. today you’ll hear all about her new book: the mother tree - discovering the love and wisdom of our divine mother. beautiful imagery throughout the book invite us on a journey to better understand the realm of the divine feminine, our part in that journey, and the work that can be done to become our most authentic divine selves. enjoy!

candy colored studio podcast episode #180: tell me about YOUR sacred grove - latest 48” circle spiritual piece

when joseph prayed to God with his soul-burning question, the sacred grove burst forth with light and knowledge. similarly, our heavenly parents greatly desire that each and every one of their children create a safe space where they can take their questions, ponderings, and research. our savior and redeemer, Jesus Christ invites us to “come, unto Him”, to find and cultivate our own “sacred grove.”

and what does YOUR “Sacred Grove” look or feel like? is it a PLACE? WHO is there? HOW are they lifting and supporting you in your quest for further light and knowledge? WHAT helps you feel the Holy Spirit most as you study and seek? is it TIME that you set aside each day to learn, listen and grow? are you taking the FEELINGS you receive THERE, with you each day, as you pursue this great journey?

candy colored studio podcast episode 168: curating our life and a recent heavenly mother commission

lds art heavenly mother tree of life asherah oil painting

throughout my life i was taught to separate media into two categories: the “imaginary” and “truth”. but what if it’s not that simple? what if there is truth hidden in films and fictional novels? what if there are lies hidden in “the news”? what if all this time i should have been discerning carefully between all the media i am inviting into my thoughts and life journey? what if, like an art exhibit, it’s all curated? should i be carefully curating a life of my own and what does that look like? does it take work? or should i simply allow others to curate my life, thoughts and views along my journey?

i also share about a recent “asherah” or heavenly mother commission: the process, the design, & the symbols included. it’s such a special experience creating alongside collectors, my heavenly parents, and savior. i’ll also share how my collector is including the piece in her holiday traditions -- inviting all to make new connections and revisit sweet things they’ve learned from their heavenly parents & savior. hooray for the holidays and this cozy season!
