candy colored podcast episode #145 - being a mother artist & constantly seeking flow

being a mother artist, like most passions and paths, is not for the faint of heart. it requires time, commitment, focus, humility, change, invention and reinvention, and help from others. our CANDYclub has been discussing workflow and systems in our studio and homes. we’re hoping to find new solutions to add and strategies that will help us refine our flow. one of our club members who i love and admire admitted that she’s intimidated with the idea of being both an artist and mother. what an honest and familiar thought. i think very few of us feel like we are balancing both beautifully...but i do believe we know deep in our hearts that it’s worth the work to enjoy this parallel journey mothering and creating.

candy colored studio podcast episode #134 - 7 balms of comfort during the 2020 CHRISTMAS SEASON
2020 has been so hard in so many ways. having a dear friend enter hospice last week was truly devastating. as we mourn so many of the hard parts of 2020, here are some things bringing me comfort this christmas: watching our dancer & her friends in the nutcracker, enjoying episodes of "the chosen" as a family, hearing about the unique mission of a "complete jew", watching the geese gather next door, baroque christmas music, darcy haas' letter to our community, watching the "bethlehem star" and so many other skyfilled wonders throughout the month.
